جهت کمی‌سازی میزان سبز شدن کوشیا (Kochia indica) تحت سطوح مختلف دما، شوری و عمق کاشت، آزمایشی به‌صورت کنترل‌شده در مرکز ملی تحقیقات شوری یزد در سال 1392 انجام شد. تیمارها شامل رژیم دمایی روز/شب: 20/10، 25/15، 30/20، 35/25 و 40/30 درجه سانتی‌گراد، پنج سطح شوری: 2، 6، 10، 14 و 18 دسی‌زیمنس بر متر و کاشت بذر در عمق صفر (سطح خاک)، 5، 10 و 15 میلی‌متر بود. درصد سبزشدن نهایی، شاخص سرعت سبز شدن و تعداد روز موردنیاز تا سبز شدن 50% از بذرها اندازه‌گیری شد. نتایج نشان داد که بیشترین و کمترین درصد سبز شدن نهایی به ترتیب در دمای روز/شب 25/15 و 40/30 درجه سانتی‌گراد به دست آمد. میزان سبز شدن نهایی در شوری‌های 6، 10، 14 و 18 دسی‌زیمنس بر متر به ترتیب 9، 22، 36 و 57% کمتر از تیمار 2 دسی‌زیمنس بر متر بود. همچنین میزان سبز شدن نهایی در عمق‌های کاشت 5، 10 و 15 میلی‌متر، به ترتیب 30، 44 و 72% کمتر از تیمار قرار دادن بذر در سطح خاک بود. تجزیه رگرسیونی نشان داد که درصد سبز شدن نهایی به‌صورت خطی با افزایش سطوح شوری و عمق کاشت کاهش یافت. در حالی که زمان لازم برای حصول 50% سبز شدن (T50) با افزایش سطوح شوری و عمق کاشت افزایش یافت، به‌طوری که بیشترین میزان T50 مربوط به شوری 18 دسی‌زیمنس بر متر و عمق کاشت 15 میلی‌متر بود. افزایش در میزان شوری و عمق کاشت با کاهش معنی‌دار شاخص سرعت سبز شدن همراه بود. در مجموع با استفاده از یک رابطه رگرسیونی لجستیک، میزان سبز شدن بذر K. indica در هر روز پس از کاشت در ترکیبات مختلف شوری و دما کمی شد تا بتوان دامنه گسترش این گیاه را تحت این شرایط پیش‌بینی نمود.
