وفائی س ح (1398) بیماری سوختگی نخود. 8(2): 57-45. DOI: 10.2982/PPS.8.2.45. 
بیماری سوختگی ناشی از Mycosphaerella rabiei مهمترین عامل محدودکننده تولید نخود در دنیا است. بررسی جمعیت قارچ از نظر بیماریزایی و ژنتیکی برای مدیریت بیماری ضروری می‌باشد. راهبردهای مختلفی از قبیل تیمار بذر با قارچکش‌ها، استفاده از رقمها مقاوم، تنظیم تاریخ کاشت و تلفیق مقاومت با کاربرد قارچکش‌ها پس از آلودگی برای مدیریت این بیماری توصیه شده است. استفاده از رقم­های مقاوم بهترین ساز و کار مدیریتی جهت کاهش خسارت ناشی از سوختگی است ولی اثربخشی رقم­های مقاوم به دلیل مقاومت ناقص ژرم پلاسم نخود و تغییرپذیری بیماریزایی جمعیت بیمارگر دارای محدودیت می‌باشد. در این مقاله زیست‌شناسی، تنوع بیماریزایی و ژنتیکی بیمارگر، توارث مقاومت در میزبان و مدیریت بیماری بیان شده است.
