مقدمه: خاکشیر تلخ (Sisymbrium irio L.) از مهم‌ترین علف‌های هرز پاییزه یکساله از تیره شب‌بو است که به وسیلۀ بذر تکثیر می‌شود. جوانه‌زنی یک جمعیت بذری در پاسخ به کاهش پتانسیل آب با استفاده از مفهوم هیدروتایم مدل‌سازی می‌شود. این مدل دارای خروجی‌هایی است که از نظر فیزیولوژیکی و اکولوژیکی معنی‌دار می‌باشند. یکی از پیش فرض‌های مدل هیدروتایم، توزیع نرمال پتانسیل آب پایه در میان بذرهای یک جمعیت است.
مواد و روش‌ها: به منظور کمی‌سازی خصوصیات جوانه‌زنی و تعیین دماهای کاردینال جوانه‌زنی بذر علف‌هرز خاکشیر تلخ، آزمایشی در دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی-واحد علوم و تحقیقات در سال 1397  انجام شد. بذرها در ژرمیناتور در معرض دماهای ثابت ۵، ۱۰، ۱۵، ۲۰، ۲۵، ۳۰، ۳۵، ۴۰ و ۴۵ درجه سلسیوس قرار گرفتند. صفات درصد جوانه‌زنی، سرعت جوانه‌زنی، طول ریشه‌چه، طول ساقه‌چه، طول گیاهچه و وزن تر گیاهچه مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. جهت تخمین دماهای کاردینال مدل‌های خطوط متقاطع، دندان مانند و چندجمله‌ای درجه ۲ مورد استفاده قرار گرفتند. برای بررسی اثر پتانسیل آب بر جوانه‌زنی در دمای بهینه 80/22 درجه سلسیوس بذور در معرض پتانسیل‌های اسمزی ( 2/0-، 4/0-، 6/0- و 8/0- مگاپاسکال) قرار گرفتند. جهت بررسی اثر کاهش پتانسیل آب بر جوانه‌زنی، از مدل هیدروتایم بر مبنای توزیع نرمال استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد که که بذر خاکشیر تلخ در دماهای ۵، 35، ۴۰ و ۴۵ درجه سلسیوس جوانه‌زنی نشان نداد و بهترین دما برای جوانه‌زنی بذر، دمای ۲۵ درجه سلسیوس (48 درصد جوانه‌زنی) بود. بیشترین طول ریشه‌چه (49/4 میلی‌متر) در دمای ۲۰ درجه سلسیوس مشاهده شد که اختلاف معنی‌داری با دماهای 15 و 25 درجه سلسیوس نداشت. در دمای ۲۵ درجه سلسیوس بیشترین طول ساقه‌چه (19/10 میلی‌متر) حاصل شده اختلاف معنی‌داری با دماهای 15 و 20 درجه‌سلسیوس نداشت. با توجه به ضریب تبیین و جذر میانگین مربعات خطا، بهترین مدل جهت تعیین دماهای کاردینال جوانه‌زنی بذر خاکشیر تلخ، مدل خطوط متقاطع بود. دماهای کمینه، بهینه و بیشینه برآورد شده توسط این مدل به ترتیب 83/5، 80/22 و 91/37 درجه سلسیوس بودند. ثابت هیدروتایم و پتانسیل آب پایه (آستانه پتانسیل آب برای شروع جوانه‌زنی) بذر خاکشیر تلخ در دمای 80/22 درجه سلسیوس به ترتیب 28/284 مگاپاسکال ساعت و 18/1- مگاپاسکال براساس مدل هیدروتایم بر مبنای توزیع نرمال برآورد شد.
نتیجه‌گیری: آگاهی از جوانه‌زنی و سبز شدن علف‌های هرز به پیش‌بینی پتانسیل پراکنش به مکان‌های جدید کمک می‌کند. ضریب تبیین به دست آمده (94/0) با برازش مدل ساده خطی به داده‌های کسر جوانه‌زنی واقعی در مقابل کسر جوانه‌زنی پیش‌بینی شده نشان داد که مدل هیدروتایم مبتنی بر توزیع نرمال از برازش مناسبی به داده‌های جوانه‌زنی خاکشیر تلخ برخوردار بوده است. با توجه به ضریب هیدروتایم پایین این علف هرز و مشکل خشکی که اکثر استان‌ها با آن روبروهستند پیش بینی می شود که این علف هرز در آینده در بیشتر استان ایران مشکل ساز شود.
 جنبه‌های نوآوری:
1- بهترین دما برای جوانه‌زنی بذر خاکشیر تلخ، دمای ۲۵ درجه سلسیوس است.
2- بهترین مدل جهت تعیین دماهای کاردینال جوانه‌زنی بذر خاکشیر تلخ، مدل خطوط متقاطع است.
3-ثابت هیدروتایم و پتانسیل آب پایه بذر خاکشیر تلخ در دمای اپتیمم به ترتیب 28/284 مگاپاسکال ساعت و 18/1- مگاپاسکال براساس مدل هیدروتایم بر مبنای توزیع نرمال می‌باشد.
