Abstract
Introduction: The identification of plant parasitic nematodes, which are serious damaging factors for stone fruit trees production, is important to follow the goals of the agricultural sector and increase production. Materials and Methods: In order to identify plant parasitic nematodes associated with stone fruit trees in Khorramabad County, Iran, 72 soil samples were collected from stone fruit trees from different regions of Khorramabad County, during 2017 and 2018. After the extraction, killing and fixing of nematodes, species were identified in consideration of morphological and morphometric characteristics using a light microscope equipped with a digital camera. Results: Thirty species of plant-parasitic nematodes were identified from 19 genera of the suborder Tylenchina. Morphological characteristics of Aphelenchoides sp. and Ditylenchus sp. which did not match any of the reported species described.
Conclusion: Aphelenchoides haguei, Helicotylenchus tunisiensis, Merlinius nanus, Filenchus ditissimus and F. facultativus on stone fruit trees in Iran are reporting for the first time.

Introduction: Legumes are the most important source of human food after cereals. More than 70 species of plant-parasitic nematodes have been reported from legumes of the world. Some of these nematodes cause great damage to these plants. Pratylenchoides ritteri is widespread in Iran on various plants such as legumes. Material and Methods: The number of P. ritteri nematodes per kg of soil in an infected field soil was counted and this soil was used for a greenhouse experiment. Nematode reproductive factor and some plant growth traits in six plants including; Broad bean, soybean, lentil, bean, mung bean, and Chickpea were studied under greenhouse and field conditions. Tests were performed in randomized complete block designs and the data were analyzed using SPSS 22 software. Results: All the plants were hosts for the nematode and the reproductive factor of the nematode was higher than one. The highest reproductive factor was found in soybean and the lowest in mung bean. Under greenhouse conditions, a decrease in most plant growth indices was observed in all infected plants. Among these plants, beans showed the largest decrease and mung bean the smallest decrease in growth indices. Conclusion: Broad bean, soybean, lentil, bean, mung bean, and chickpea are hosts for P. ritteri and this nematode can cause decreases in most plant growth indices.

Introduction: Nematodes are one of the harmful factors for cucumber production in the world. This research was conducted to identify plant parasitic nematodes in cucumber fields and greenhouses in Lorestan province in western Iran. Materials and Methods: Eighty-five soil samples containing cucumber roots were collected from different cities of Lorestan province in western Iran. Extraction of nematodes, their fixation and the production of permanent microscopic slides and species identification were carried out using scientific references. Results: Twenty plant-parasitic nematode species from 12 genera of the order Tylenchina have been identified. The morphological characteristics of Amplimerlinius globigerus and Meloidogyne incognita have been described as the most harmful cucumber nematodes in the province. Conclusion: Eleven new species of cucumber root-associated nematode for Iran are reported here.

Introduction: Root lesions and cyst nematodes can cause serious damage and loss in vegetable and squash production. This research aimed to identify these important plant parasitic nematodes in the fields of these plants in the suburbs of Rumeshkan city, Lorestan province, Iran. Materials and Methods: Forty-five soil and root samples were collected from vegetable and squash fields in the region, in 2021. The nematodes were extracted using the tray method and fixed using the modified de Grisse method and transferred to glycerol. After the permanent microscopic slides were prepared, the morphological characteristics of each nematode were examined using a bright-field microscope equipped with a digital camera and then identified using valid keys. Results: The lesion nematodes were identified as Pratylenchus speijeriP. neglectus and P. thornei and the cyst nematode as Heterodera schachtii. This is the first report and description of P. speijeri from Iran and also the first report of H. schachtii from lettuce in Iran. Conclusion: Due to the presence of these important plant parasitic nematodes on these plants in this region, appropriate management practices need to be implemented.
