مقدمه: کپک خاکستری که عامل آن Botrytis cinerea است، مهم‌ترین بیماری پس از برداشت میوه توت‌فرنگی است. استفاده از قارچ‌کش‌های شیمیایی میتواند تاثیر سویی بر سلامت مصرف کنندگان داشته باشد، بنابراین کاربرد اسانس‌های گیاهی برای مدیریت بیماری مورد توجه قرار گرفته است. اثر شش اسانس گیاهی بر بیمارگر و آلودگی میوه ­های توت فرنگی در این پژوهش مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند، تا اسانس­ مناسب برای مبارزه با بیماری شناسایی شود. مواد و روش‌ها: بیمارگر از میوه های توت فرنگی آلوده در شمال شرق ایران، جداسازی و شناسایی شد. اثر بازدارندگی غلظتهای مختلف اسانس‌های نعناع فلفلی، مرزه، زیره سیاه، زیره سبز، اکالیپتوس و آویشن از رشد میسیلیوم و جوانه­زنی هاگ بیمارگر به روش مخلوط کردن آنها با محیط کشت آزمایش شدند. سپس تاثیر این اسانس­ها در فازهای مایع و بخار، بر میزان آلودگی میوه های توت‌فرنگی آزمایش شدند. داده‌های این آزمایش­ها بعد از نرمالسازی با نرم افزار MSTAT-C، تجزیه واریانس شده و میانگین‌ها با  آزمون دانکن مقایسه شدند. یافته‌ها: اسانس­های زیره سیاه و اکالیپتوس بیشترین تاثیر در بازدارندگی از رشد میسیلیوم بیمارگر داشتند. اسانس‌های زیره سیاه، زیره سبز، مرزه،  آویشن و نعناع فلفلی بیشترین تاثیر در بازدارندگی از جوانه‌زنی هاگ بیمارگر داشتند اسانس‌های زیره سیاه، زیره سبز، مرزه، آویشن و نعناع فلفلی در فاز بخار،  اسانس­های زیره سیاه و اکالیپتوس در فاز مایع، بیشتر از آلودگی میوه جلوگیری کردند. نتیجه‌گیری: یافته­های این پژوهش نشان ­داد که همه این اسانس­ها به طور معنی­ داری میتوانند از رشد میسلیوم و جوانه­ زنی هاگ بیمارگر و آلودگی میوه ­های توت فرنگی جلوگیری کنند، ولی تاثیر اسانس زیره سیاه در بیشتر موارد بهتر از سایرین است. بنابراین از آن می‌توان به عنوان جایگزین قارچ‌کش‌ها روی میوه توت‌فرنگی استفاده کرد.
