اعظمی ساردویی ذ.، فکرت ف. و قلاوند ف. 1396. مروری بر کاربرد بنزوتیادیازول در مدیریت بیماری‌های گیاهی. دانش بیماری‌شناسی گیاهی 6(2): 42-33.

استفاده از مواد فعال‌کننده سیستم دفاعی گیاهان یکی از روش‌های نوین در مدیریت  بیماری‌های گیاهی در سال‌های اخیر است. بنزوتیادیازول (BTH) اولین ترکیب تولیدشده، فعال کننده سیستم دفاعی گیاهان است. بنزوتیادیازول هیچ اثر ضد میکروبی مستقیمی بر بیمارگر‌ها ندارد، ولی می­تواند فعال‌کننده مقاومت سیستمیک اکتسابی به تعدادی از بیماری‌ها در گیاهان شود. این ماده به‌طور گسترده برای مقابله با تعدادی از بیمارگر‌های گندم، گوجه‌فرنگی، تنباکو، کاهو، موز و گلابی به بازار عرضه ‌شده است. به‌طورکلی بنزودیاتیازول می‌تواند یک ترکیب بی‌خطر و قابل‌اعتماد در حفاظت گیاهان و جایگزین مناسبی برای
آفت­‌کش‌هایی با اثرهای مخرب زیست‌محیطی باشد.
