چکیده مبسوط
مقدمه: زوال بذر با تنش اکسیداتیو و تجمع کنترل‌نشده گونه‌های فعال اکسیژن مرتبط می‌باشد. بذرها گروهی از آنتی‌اکسیدانت‌های آنزیمی و غیرآنزیمی را داشته که از آن‌ها در مقابل گونه‌های فعال اکسیژن محافظت کرده و در حفظ بنیه بذر و حمایت از فرایندهای جوانه‌زنی بذر کمک‌کننده می‌باشند. پاسخ ارقام مختلف به زوال بذر متفاوت می‌باشد. آگاهی از منابع و سازوکار زوال و چگونگی پاسخ ارقام مختلف می‌تواند ما را در انتخاب رقم مناسب منطقه کمک کرده، همچنین در انتخاب و اعمال روش‌های مدیریتی مناسب برای انبارداری و افزایش مدت زمان نگه‌داری بذرها در انبار به‌کار رود.
مواد و روش‌ها: آزمایش به‌صورت فاکتوریل با دو عامل در طرح پایه کاملاً تصادفی با سه تکرار انجام شد. تیمارهای آزمایشی شامل یک و شش ماه انبارداری (دمای جهار درجه سلسیوس، رطوبت بذر 11 درصد و رطوبت نسبی انبار 60 درصد) و پیری تسریع‌شده (96 ساعت نگهداری بذرها در دمای 45 درجه سلسیوس و رطوبت نسبی 100 درصد) بودند که در چهار رقم برنج (خزر، هاشمی، گیلانه و دمسیاه) اعمال شدند. درصد و سرعت جوانه‌زنی، طول ساقه‌چه و ریشه‌چه، وزن خشک ساقه‌چه و ریشه‌چه و شاخص بنیه گیاهچه، فعالیت آلفاآمیلاز، کاتالاز ((CAT، پراکسیداز ((POX، سوپراکسیددیسموتاز SOD))، محتوای مالون‌دی‌آلدئید (MDA) و پراکسیدهیدروژن ((H2O2 صفات مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفتند.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد که پیری تسریع‌شده و نگهداری بذرها در انبار به‌مدت شش ماه، درصد و سرعت جوانه‌زنی، طول ریشه‌چه و ساقه‌چه، وزن خشک ریشه‌چه و ساقه‌چه، شاخص بنیه گیاهچه و فعالیت آنزیم آلفاآمیلاز را در هر چهار رقم کاهش دادند. این کاهش همراه با افزایش محتوای MDA و H2O2 و کاهش فعالیت آنزیم‌های آنتی اکسیدانت SOD و POX بود. محتوای MDA در بذرهای پیری تسریع‌شده کم‌تر از بذرهای با طول عمر 6 ماه در انبار بود. فعالیت آنزیم CAT بعد از اعمال تیمار زوال افزایش نشان داد، این افزایش در بذرهای دارای طول عمر شش ماه بیش‌تر بود. این بذرها همچنین H2O2 کم‌تری را در مقایسه با بذرهای پیری تسریع‌شده نشان دادند. رقم خزر محتوای H2O2 کم‌تری را در نتیجه فعالیت بیش‌تر آنزیم CAT نشان داد. علاوه بر این، رقم خزر درصد و سرعت جوانه‌زنی بالاتری را بعد از اعمال تیمار زوال در مقایسه با ارقام دیگر نشان داد. افت درصد جوانه‌زنی ناشی از زوال در رقم دمسیاه  بسیار شدید بود. این رقم کم‌ترین درصد جوانه‌زنی، سرعت جوانه‌زنی، بنیه بذر و فعالیت آنزیم آلفاآمیلاز را در تیمار پیری تسریع‌شده نشان داد. رقم گیلانه و هاشمی در ابتدای آزمایش جوانه‌زنی و فعالیت آلفاآمیلاز، سوپراکسیددیسموتاز و پراکسیداز بالاتری را نشان دادند، اما در جریان زوال قابلیت جوانه‌زنی در آن‌ها همسو با فعالیت آنزیم‌های آنتی‌اکسیدانت کاهش نشان داد.
نتیجه‌گیری: تیمارهای قراردادن شش ماهه بذرها در انبار و پیری تسریع‌شده، اثرات منفی بر سرعت جوانه‌زنی چهار رقم مورد مطالعه گذاردند. این افت در سرعت جوانه‌زنی همراه با افزایش رادیکال آزاد در بذرها و افت فعالیت آنزیم‌های آنتی اکسیدانت SOD و POX بود که این اثرات در رقم خزر با شدت کم‌تر و و در رقم دمسیاه شدیدتر بود که این نتایج اهمیت بیش‌تر شرایط انبار را در نگهداری رقم دمسیاه نشان می‌دهد.

جنبه‌های نوآوری:
1- اثر انبارداری و زوال بذر بر تغییر فعالیت آنزیم‌های آنتی‌اکسیدانت، گونه‌های فعال اکسیژن و جوانه‌نی بذر برنج بررسی شد.
2- نتایج آزمون پیری تسریع‌شده و طبیعی برای نتیجه‌گیری بهتر در مورد پاسخ ارقام مقایسه گردید.
3- دو رقم اصلاح‌شده با دو رقم محلی (با سطح زیرکشت بالا در منطقه مقایسه شد.
