خضری م. 1395. تشکیل بیوفیلم در باکتری پروبیوتیک Bacillus subtilis. دانش بیماری‌شناسی گیاهی 5(2):62-52.

اغلب باکتری‌ها قادر به تشکیل اجتماعی به نام بیوفیلم هستند که از نظر ساختار و عملکرد بسیار متنوع ولی در ویژگی‌های عمومی شباهت‌های زیادی دارند. ترکیب اصلی بیوفیلم پلی‌ساکاریدهای خارج سلولی است. باکتری پروبیوتیک Bacillus subtilis یک باکتری گرم مثبت، میله‌ای‌شکل، تولیدکننده اندوسپور و خاکزی است که در  کشاورزی به‌عنوان ارتقادهنده‌ی رشد گیاهان و مهار زیستی بیمارگرهای گیاهی کاربرد زیادی دارد. تشکیل بیوفیلم باکتری را برای مدت طولانی زنده نگه می­دارد. ساختار بیوفیلم موجب حفظ و بقای باکتری در برابر شرایط نامساعد محیطی مانند وجود آنتی‌بیوتیک‌ها، سموم شیمیایی و مواد کشنده می‌شود. توانایی تشکیل بیوفیلم در باکتری پروبیوتیک B. subtilis جهت افزایش کلنیزاسیون ریشه و توان مهار زیستی بیمارگرهای گیاهی اهمیت زیادی دارد.
