به‌منظور بررسی تأثیر پیش‌تیمار ترکیب زیستی کیتوزان بر بذرهای سویا (Glycine max L.) (رقم ویلیامز) تحت شرایط تنش شوری آزمایشی به‌صورت فاکتوریل در قالب طرح کامل تصادفی با سه تکرار در دانشگاه شاهد در سال 1394 انجام شد. فاکتورهای آزمایش شامل ترکیب کیتوزان در سه سطح (صفر ، 25/0 و 5/0 درصد وزنی-حجمی) و شوری در 4 سطح (صفر، 5، 5/7 و 10 دسی‌زیمنس بر متر) بود. نتایج نشان داد که برهمکنش پیش‌تیمار کیتوزان و تنش شوری بر درصد جوانه‌زنی، سرعت جوانه‌زنی، میانگین مدت جوانه‌زنی، تعداد گیاهچه عادی و صفات فیزیولوژیک گیاهچه سویا نظیر میزان پرولین و قندهای محلول اندام هوایی معنی‌دار بود. پیش تیمار 25/0 درصد کیتوزان در تقابل با تنش شوری با افزایش 30 درصدی سرعت جوانه‌زنی و افزایش به‌ترتیب 24 و 35 درصدی میزان پرولین و قندهای محلول اندام هوایی باعث بهبود جوانه‌زنی گیاهچه سویا شد. با توجه به تأثیر تیمار کیتوزان بر جوانه‌زنی و رشد گیاهچه سویا می‌توان تیمار 25/0 درصد وزنی-حجمی کیتوزان را به‌عنوان یک تیمار جهت مقابله با شرایط شوری در گیاهچه سویا معرفی نمود.
